Dr Brian Beale is an orthopaedic surgeon at the Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas, which he joined in 1992 after completing his residency and serving on the faculty of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr Beale has special interests in arthroscopy, minimally invasive fracture management, medical management of osteoarthritis, and perioperative pain management. He has authored numerous book chapters and scientific articles on these topics and is a co-author of the Small Animal Arthroscopy textbook.
In 2018, Dr Beale was named a Founding Fellow in Minimally Invasive Surgery – Small Animal Orthopedics (arthroscopy and fracture repair) by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
In this webinar, Dr Beale provides insights into his multimodal approach to osteoarthritis management. He discusses aspects from the diagnosis of OA and the importance of treating the underlying causes, to the research on the latest advancements in the medical management of OA.
